WebFly line details: Bought sunray SSI #5. It weighs 17g at 36'. All the other single handed 5wt lines weigh 9-12g at 30-36'. Rio Grand is full line size heavier! It weighs 12.6g at 37'. 17g is a completely ridiculous number. It weighs like a 7wt rio grand (remember, full line size heavier) fly line. It is horrible to cast on a 5wt rod, horrible. WebFirst impressions were favourable when loading on to my fly reel - the line had nice welded loops on both ends and looked and felt very smooth. Not bad for £20 I thought. On trying the line, it went out very well with little or no memory. However, I did not feel it loaded my 7 weight 10 foot rod properly.
