In most cases bitstream is the better option. There's nothing there to bitstream. Games aren't movies, they don't have audio pre recorded and encoded as a DD+ or TrueHD track. Atmos for games works through the spatial sound API and is output via Dolby MAT. MAT uses lossless LPCM and packages it together with the Atmos positional metadata.
